As Department Administrator & Imaging Specialist, Chelsey Denny oversees a range of administrative, outreach, and fiscal activities for the department's academic courses, public events, and travel programs. She provides guidance on the ins and outs of Rice policies and is a resource for faculty promotion and tenure cases and departmental hiring. Chelsey also supports faculty imaging projects as well as the department's graphic design needs.

Prior to joining the Department of Art History, Chelsey managed communication strategies, public events, and creative programs for several academic and non-profit institutions including Parsons the New School for Design and CEC ArtsLink, an organization that fosters international diplomacy through the arts. She has also served as senior editor for a contemporary arts publication called Conveyor Magazine and as artist assistant and studio manager to Vera Lutter. Outside of her time at Rice, Chelsey loves finding time to work in her studio addressing the messy intersections of personal and institutional memory and is an avid traveler with a soft spot for community arts programs and those who make them tick.
