Rice's advising system splits advising between new students and those who have declared a major. Faculty advising in Art History is supplemented with a strong support network of trained professional staff and peer student advisors at Rice. The advising system offers individual attention to each student by an Art History faculty advisor with unique educational perspectives and experiences, and also affords constant access to professional staff members and student advisors. In addition, two Art History faculty members are Humanities Division Advisors and can help students with broad questions related to majoring and coursework in the School of Humanities.
