Ph.D. Alumna Nikki Moore has accepted a position as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Art at Wake Forest University.
Ph.D. alumnus Kyle G. Sweeney '17 will join Winthrop University this fall as a tenure-track assistant professor of art history. Dr. Sweeney’s research focuses on the social, spatial, and ritual fabric of late medieval cities.

The Department of Art History sponsored its annual trip to New York City from March 9 until March 14, 2019. Ten art history majors in their junior or senior years, led by Professors Gordon Hughes and Joseph Manca, toured the major museums and historical sites in Manhattan.
Ph.D. Student Adrienne Rooney has received a Junior Fellowship from the Paul Mellon Centre in London. It will allow her to conduct archival dissertation research on Jamaica for three months.
2016 PhD alumna Melissa Venator, a curator and historian of modern art specializing in Germany from 1900-1945, will join the St. Louis Art Museum this June as the A.W. Mellon Fellow in Modern Art.
