Associate Professor Leo Costello presents at “J.M.W. Turner: State of the Field” symposium

Dr. Leo Costello, Associate Professor of Art History, will be presenting at the Yale Center for British Art’s “J.M.W. Turner: State of the Field” online symposium this Saturday, September 23rd with his talk entitled, “Whither Early Turner?”

All are welcome to join the two-day symposium (Sept. 22-23) which will consider the state and meaning of scholarship on J. M. W. Turner (1775–1851), one of Britain’s most celebrated artists. Panelists will explore some of the key ideas, underlying assumptions, and future directions of research.
