Katharyn Hernandez, Will Rice College, Class of 2020, has planned to become an art conservator since her first term at Rice. To meet her goal she double majored in art history and chemistry, and took foreign language classes. Now she is a step closer, having just been awarded an internship in conservation from Dr. Zahira Bomford, Senior Conservator of Paintings, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
