Honors Thesis Presentation

Congratulations to seniors Hannah Foster and Ella Langridge for successfully presenting their art history honors theses and being awarded high honors!

Behind every successful woman is more women backing them up as Prof. Denva Gallant and Prof. Olivia Young served as advisors for each student, guiding and helping the students throughout the year and developing them into model art historians.

Hannah Foster: “"It's always myself that I paint, but not actually": Memory and Performance in the Archive of Gertrude Abercrombie (1909-1977)" | Advisor: Prof. Olivia Young

Ella Langridge: "Visualizing Salvation: the Early Medieval Roman Mosaics at SS. Cosmas and Damian in the Context of 14-15th Century Pilgrimage Literature" | Advisor: Prof. Denva Gallant

Those interested in joining the HART Honors Program apply no earlier than Spring of the sophomore year and no later than the last day of the Spring semester of the junior year. Once accepted, students will be assigned to a faculty mentor. Financial assistance is also available for honors students to conduct research. To remain in the Honors Program students must maintain a grade point average of 3.3 or higher and receive an A or A- in both semesters of the Honors Thesis. Students who maintain a grade point average of 3.7 or higher and who receive an A in both semesters of the Honors Thesis may be awarded high honors by vote of the department.
