Architecture in Development: Systems and the Emergence of the Global South"

Congratulations to Fabiola López-Durán, Associate Professor of Art and Architectural History at Rice, for the release of her co-edited book, Architecture in Development: Systems and the Emergence of the Global South (Routledge, 2022)!

The Aggregate Architectural History Collaborative held dozens of workshops with contributors, including Nikki Moore, Rice Art History Ph.D. alum, throughout North America in partnership with major universities, exhibitions, and research centers to produce the book. Dr. Moore participated in all the workshops and contributed to the book with her essay “To which revolution? The National School of Agriculture and the center for the improvement of corn and wheat in Texcoco and El Batán, Mexico, 1924–1968.”

Columbia University will celebrate the book launch with discussions and presentations on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11:00am from its editors, including Dr. López-Durán.
