HART in the World London

This summer, ten Rice undergraduate students are spending almost three weeks living in London and traveling throughout the city. They will meet with curators, tour architectural monuments, visit museums from the National Gallery to the British Museum, meet with artists, sketch on Hampstead Heath and see The Comedy of Errors at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.

The Department of Art History offers Rice students an opportunity to study abroad through our HART in the World program. Every other summer a faculty member and an advanced Ph.D. student team up to teach in one of the greatest centers for art in the world. This year the HART in the World summer course is in London and was accompanied by a Spring semester seminar at Rice.
