Osinachi Okafor wins 2026 Fondren Library Charrette Workshop

Fondren Library Charrette Workshop

On June 2nd, along with her team, Susan Garrison, Director of Access Services and Education Librarian for Fondren Library led the Charrette Workshop, a contest in which 4 pre-selected student teams were asked to develop a 3-D model and design for their version of the North Reading Room renovation. Art History PhD student, Osinachi Okafor was on the winning team (Team 2) which was voted as the “best design”. Team 2 consisted of Aindrila Pal, Liza Streeter, Justin Nguyen, Katie Garcia, and Osinachi Okafor. The voting was conducted during the first week of classes from August 24-28th.

The winning team was presented with trophies and a Charrette Workshop certificate, along with a $10 gift card to Chaus Coffeehouse, and a $50 gift card.
