2025 Graduate Town Hall

Department of Art History

Graduate Town Hall

The Department of Art History held its inaugural graduate town hall on May 7, 2025 to wrap up the academic year. Graduate students and faculty joined online and in-person to reflect on the past academic year and to discuss concerns and expectations of graduate students in the program, and improvements that could be made for incoming graduate students. Faculty also shared some updates about the influence of the current administration on the program and what this might mean for international students. Next year's new graduate representatives, Chloe Millhauser and Emma Benton, were also introduced.

Thank you to this year's art history graduate representative, Marge Steurbaut, for all the hard work she has done in her role, including introducing new graduate workshops, enacting improvements to the graduate program, and being a liaison between faculty and students. We will especially miss her and her dog Peggy, both of whom will be returning to Belgium this summer.
