All full-time students entering the Rice graduate program in Art History receive a five-year fellowship package, that includes an annual stipend and a tuition waiver. Continued support is contingent upon satisfactory progress in the program. For the 2018-2019 academic year, the annual base stipend for full-time students is $26,000.
Students entering the PhD program’s Museum Professionals track enroll as part-time students, and do not receive an annual stipend. However, students on the Museum Professional track are awarded tuition waivers for their first five years of study, contingent upon satisfactory progress.
