Lecture by Sharon Lorenzo J.D. with panel discussion by Prof. John Hopkins, Rice University and Sarah Costello, UH Clear Lake

Professor Lorenzo, a lawyer and art historian, will discuss the licit and illicit world wide art
market and a number of famous recent cases of works of art that have been moved from site
of origin to collections and back again. The repatriation of cultural property raises many
sensitive questions about history and ownership of art objects.
