Natasha Mao selected as intern for The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

The department congratulates current Ph.D. candidate Natasha Mao for being selected as an intern at the world-renowned Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. While there, she will conduct research and assist with planning exhibitions in the field of Italian Renaissance painting.

Advised by Professor Diane Wolfthal, Natasha has received well-earned awards for her research including, among others, the Walter Read Hovey Scholarship from the Pittsburgh Foundation (2017) for an archival research course at the State Archive of Florence, Italy, and Rice University's Wagoner Foreign Study Scholarship (2014-15) for on-site research in the UK and Italy. She has also presented her research at the Annual Meeting of the Renaissance Society of America (2016), The Vagantes Conference on Medieval Studies (2014), and the Sixteenth Century Society and Conference (2012).

Prior to her matriculation at Rice, Natasha graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Art History from Northwestern University.
