Nero is often remembered as the tyrannical emperor who let Rome burn and gorged on ill-gotten luxury; his successors conceived as good emperors, who built the Colosseum, Imperial Palace and the vast majority of Rome’sremaining monuments.  In this course you will question whether things were so straightforward.
